The US Defense Department announced today that on Tuesday May 3, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will unveil a new partnership, organized with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, between the U.S. Agency for International Development and Johnson & Johnson.
“Collaborating with the United Nations Foundation, the mHealth Alliance and the BabyCenter, this partnership harnesses the power of technology to improve the health of women and newborns by reaching them with quality health information,” a spokesperson for the US Defense Department says.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the Department of State.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, USAID Deputy Administrator Don Steinberg, U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra, CEO and Chairman of Johnson & Johnson William Weldon and Founder of Every Mother Counts Christy Turlington Burns will deliver remarks at the event.
